This organization was started in 2011 because there were no autism services/support available in Marion County, FL when our executive director/founder sought assistance for her own children. There are still not nearly enough services available, however, OASN is doing our best to point families to resources available and get funding to provide services, whenever possible (which has become increasingly more difficult post 2020).

OASN assists parents/guardians/clients/students with referrals to obtain an autism diagnosis or related neuro-immune disorder (or after a diagnosis has been obtained) and provides support every step of the way. We have walked down the (autism) road, so we have paved it for the families we serve. You must have an intake form on file or have completed the admissions process for our subsidiary school to be eligible for the below listed programs/services:

Academic-K-12 Education Ocala Preparatory Academy is our subsidiary K-12 private school, offering holistic, faith based education.Click here for more info on Ocala Preparatory AcademyYou must complete a pre admissions appointment request to start the admissions process. Completing an intake form is a separate process from our private school admissions application. SUFS Empowerment Scholarships accepted (out of pocket costs associated with enrollment).

Autism Support Group (Facebook)This private group is available to parents, caregivers, and individuals with autism and related neuro-immune disorders with an intake form, complete an intake form (see the top header area and look for the red intake button). Autism Support Meetings Offered once a month in our office or Zoom (online) on the 2nd Wednesday of the month 12pm-12:30pm during the instructional year (August-May) TBD for summer 2024. To register to come either in person or via Zoom, please click here.

Community Resource Fair This annual event focuses on resources available for children, adults and caregivers (parents, grandparents, paid caregivers, guardians, etc.). Join us on November 4, 2023 at the Marion Oaks Community Center!

OASN Gives Back OASN staff/volunteers coordinate efforts to give back to those in need (examples include natural disaster, food drives, etc.). 

Referrals Our knowledgeable staff assist clients & students with referrals to medical providers, social & community services.

Resource Guide (now all ages!) All resources are parent, caregiver, or individual with special needs recommended.

Sensory Sensitive Christmas Party Our annual celebration offers visits from costumed characters, Sensory Sensitive Santa, Mrs. Claus, plus other fun activities. Please donate to help make this day possible annually. Click here to register for this event.

Super Hero FUN Walk An annual event offering resources, a FUN walk, costume contests, raffles, & fun kids activities.
